Webmail: Can I log in securely to webmail?

Secure Access for Webmail

SSL encryption protects your username and password from being sent over the Internet in clear text, preventing your username and password from being able to be interception by someone eavesdropping on your connection. The secure webmail interface will encrypt your communication with our mail servers, keeping all mail read and sent secure between you and our servers.

If you access your Webmail interface over a wireless network or a public access terminal, R4L strongly recommends using the secure webmail login interface.

You may login using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to your webmail account. To do so:

  • On your browser, type in https://mail2. plus your domain name & hit <Enter>.
  • You'll get a popup message asking you to accept the certificate for the page/site. Click Ok to accept the certificate.
  • Log in using your normal webmail username and password.
  • As always, make sure you log out once you have finished your webmail session.
