Webmail: How can I configure an auto-responder?

Setting up an Auto-Responder

An auto-responder is a filter on your mail account that will send an preformatted reply to any email you receive. These are often used when people are on vacation, away from the office, or simply unable to respond to email in a timely manner.

In order to set this up, you need to use R4L's newer webmail interface found on mail2. plus your domain.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Log into your webmail account at http://mail2. plus your domain.
  2. On the left hand menu, expand the Mail menu (on the left, click on the little plus sign)
  3. Click on Filters (the last option)
  4. Create and activate the Vacation filter.
Note: It's always a good idea to test your auto-responder once you've set it up to ensure it's working as you expect. The webmail Help link on this page will have more Help instructions.
