The Transfer of Registrar Process

1. You place the order with Register4less.com

   Go to http://register4less.com, type in the domains you want to transfer and place the order. Click here for more detailed help on ordering a transfer of registrar for your domains.

2. We send you a confirmation request

   An email request to confirm your domain transfers is sent to the administrative contact for your domain. This email is sent from <transfers@opensrs.org>.

   If you ordered more than one domain transfer, only one email per unique admin contact will be sent.

3. You obtain auth-code(s) for the transfers

   Most domains now require an auth-code to be issued from the current registrar in order to be transfered. You should contact the current registrar for your domain to obtain the necessary codes.

4. You confirm the transfer(s)

   The email will include a instructions to confirm your transfer, plus a hyperlink and information for you to use. If you have trouble co nfirming your transfer, please forward the confirmation email to support@register4less.com.

   If you do not confirm the domain transfer, we cannot proceed with it. After a week, the process will timeout, and our system will start over to resubmit your transfer.

5. We submit to the registry

   Once you have confirmed you transfer, we will submit the request to the registry for processing.

6. The current registrar is notified

   The root registry will notify your current registrar that you have requested a transfer for your domain name.

7. Transfer completes or is declined

   Transfer is Accepted/Ignored

   If your existing registrar either accepts or ignores your transfer request, it will complete within several days.

   Transfer is Declined

   If your existing registrar refuses your transfer, the request will fail.

8. You get mail from us

   Once your transfer has completed or been resubmitted, you will get a notification by email from register4less.com.
