FAQ: What happens to purchases that are fraudulent?

In the event that we have a domain that has been purchased with a stolen credit card, we do the following:

  1. Disable the domain. Access to the domain will be disabled, including its DNS, password access, and email access. Any hosting, email, or other functions will be terminated.
  2. We will inform the individual by email of the steps we have taken (assuming the email will still reach that person.)
  3. Further action will be taken to inform the appropriate authorities.

Basically, we take immediate action to remove any benefit derived from a fraudulent transaction by the person who made it.
