FAQ: Is it possible to change the name of the domain once I've registered it?

Deleting a new Registration

For new registrations only, it is possible to delete a domain name for credit. This deletion service is intended to allow registrants to correct a spelling mistake in a new domain's registration. Register4Less.com however does not garantee that we will be able to delete a domain for you.

Once a domain is established, however, it is not possible to modify the remaining time registered with the domain (other than of course to add to it by renewal). This means that domain renewals, transfers, etc. cannot be undone once completed.

The reason behind the inflexibility for not being able to cancel and refund a renewal is due to ICANN's guidelines for domain registrations. The registries are not permitted to refund a registrar for time registerered on a domain, and so registrars cannot provide this for their customers.
